Cornwall Hosts the G7

On 11^th June the eyes of the world turn to Cornwall as the county plays host
to world leaders. The G7 countries (UK, Canada, France, Germany,
Italy, Japan, USA) account for 40% of world GDP; making them a
powerful lobby not just on trade but on other global concerns too. So
whilst trade is on the agenda for the Cornwall summit, so too is
climate change and the building of a stronger global health system
which will help the world to stave off future pandemics.

Adding to the desire to create a global voice are India, South Korea,
Australia, South Africa and the EU; all of which have been invited to
the June meeting in Cornwall. Launching this summit the Prime
Minister, Boris Johnson, commented “the G7 has long been the
catalyst for decisive international action to tackle the greatest
challenges we face.”

Decisions taken at meetings such as this can have an effect not only on global
approaches to challenges but also to the way in which investments are
structured to help to finance those challenges. So we’ll be keeping
