Jonathan’s wide-ranging experience (spanning over 28 years) has given him the ability to explain investments in a simple yet logical fashion, making him a tremendous financial adviser.
Jonathan has always been passionate about providing comprehensive, meticulous financial planning advice, so when he established Beckworth in 2001 he ensured that Beckworth had the most robust and diligent processes and he made it his objective to employ the very best possible team – a team which helps with every aspect of investment management. With Beckworth’s tried and tested 14 years of experience in fund management and helping clients, this clearly demonstrates that his diligent approach is working.
Jonathan was born in Exeter and is married to Jane (who is an Ophthalmic Optician) and they have two grown up children. When Jonathan is not out and about seeing clients you’ll find him “on the water” (well, mostly on Exmouth’s floating café) or on his motorbike “green laning” around East Devon.
Louise has over 25 years’ experience in the Financial services industry and joined Beckworth in 2008, having previously worked in banks, building societies and investment companies in a variety of financial roles.
She qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser in 1999 and believes that the most enjoyable part of her job is building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Louise was born in Lincolnshire but having lived and worked in Devon for over 30 years, considers it to be her home. She is married to Andrew and they have one grown-up daughter who lives and works in London. Louise enjoys the outdoors and most weekends will find her walking the moors or the coastal paths with Andrew and their chocolate Labrador, Lottie. She is also passionate about Formula 1, attending Grands Prix both in the UK and abroad.
Jessica joined Beckworth in October 2015 as part of the administration team after working in the hospitality sector over the previous seven years.
Her exceptional customer service skills and enthusiastic attitude have seen her progress very quickly and she now assists Louise in the overall running of the firm, ensuring that all compliance guidelines are followed, as well as providing paraplanning services for our clients
Jessica grew up in Nottinghamshire and now lives in Exmouth with her husband and son. She loves exploring the Devon countryside with her family and especially loves a good coastal walk to blow away the cobwebs!
During the warmer months (her favourite time of the year!), when she is not at work you will probably find Jessica on the beach or in the sea, swimming, kayaking or paddleboarding.
Sophie has been in the financial services industry since 2014. She has a wealth of experience and is responsible for research, analysis, and compiling Investment Reports and regular client reviews in conjunction with Jonathan and Louise.
When Sophie is not working she likes to spend time with her family and catching up with friends. She enjoys walking along the coast, shopping, cooking a variety of dishes, and going on holiday. She enjoys medical and detective dramas and will often spend an afternoon watching a new series or film on Netflix.
CloseNextPreviousStefanie joined the Beckworth team in 2019, after ten years' experience working for successful, market leading companies in the retail sector. She has excellent organisation and planning skills, combined with a very friendly and helpful personality.
After three years of excellent administration services, Stef is now throwing herself into training as a Paraplanner and is very keen to learn new skills and provide our clients with all the help and technical guidance they require.
When she's not at work, Stef loves painting and being creative. She uses acrylic paints and especially loves painting portraits of pets. She has also recently painted a few murals for friends' nursery walls! She also really enjoys going to the beach for a surf as much as possible and loves good walks around Devon. She lives in Exeter with her partner, baby daughter and Roger the dog!
Having over five years’ experience with a large insurance company, Jade joined Beckworth in 2021 as a full-time Administrator. She has over ten years’ worth of customer service experience and her friendly personality and broad knowledge of the industry makes her a valuable asset to the team.
Outside of work, Jade enjoys spending time with family and friends, and going on holidays and weekends away with her partner. She has recently purchased her first house so spends a lot of time in Ikea, Dunelm or The Range shopping for new household items. Jade’s guilty pleasure is binge-watching multiple series on Netflix, whilst in her comfies with a brew!

Having worked in a firm of Financial Advisers previously, Carys brings experience and enthusiasm to her role as the newest Administrator on the team. She may be the first person you speak with when you call the office and she will be very happy to assist with your questions and queries.
When she is not at work, Carys spends her time exploring the countryside on long walks with her partner and her dog, Phoebe. She also enjoys planning trips away and loves trying new things in new places
Alison brings a background in banking and financial services to the Beckworth team.
When not working on Beckworth projects she can be found wandering the Devon countryside with her Cocker Spaniel.

Maria was born and brought up in Sidmouth and, after a few years away at university in Birmingham and France, settled back where her heart is, in the South West. She has worked for a range of local organisations managing digital projects. She now lives in Mid-Devon with her young family. She enjoys long runs and short walks. These both help justify the amount of home-made cake she consumes. She plays keyboards and sings in a covers band. Summer weekends find her camping in her VW campervan or gardening amongst her chickens.
