Boosting Pension Awareness

How much do you
know about your pension? What are the rules about pension
investments? What options do you have when you retire? Is it better
to save into a pension or other form of investment? And what might
happen to your pension in the event of your death?

It’s questions such as these which led to the inception of Pension Awareness Day; a time in which the industry comes together to boost
people’s understanding of pensions. Now in its ninth year, the
original pensions awareness day on 15th
September has been expanded into a week of events, articles and
campaigning.

Due to the sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II some of the events
such as online live shows have been postponed until the week of 31st
October. These postponements aside, the underlying message of Pension
Awareness day remains pertinent. The better that people understand
their pension options, the more informed the decisions they can make
about their finances in retirement.
