Reviewing Investments

For sports enthusiasts, January is marked by the football transfer
window. It’s one of only two times a year in which, with a few
exceptions, players are allowed to switch clubs. As the end of the
window gets ever closer, early measured forays into the transfer
market give way to frenzied rumour and counter rumour as clubs rush
to bolster their squads, perhaps even seeking to replace key players
who have been snatched from under their noses.

Underpinning the transfer market, every club has a team of individuals researching
potential players, reviewing statistics and looking to find the best
fit for a particular style of play. Those teams work year round to
identify players in much the same way as we work to identify
investments which may best fit our clients’ needs and
circumstances. The difference is that we are not bound by any
‘transfer window.’ We are free to make recommendations to our
clients whenever either our research identifies a need for change or
the individual circumstances of our clients dictate that a new
investment focus may be preferable.
