Precipitating Change

February 2024 is shaping up to be one of the wettest on record. By the middle of the month, in Devon we had already received more than one month’s average rainfall and the constant showers seen over the last week have only added to that tally. Quite a contrast from February 2023 which was the driest seen since 1993.

It’s no wonder that in the UK we are famed for talking about the weather; it is just so variable. And that variability means that we stay vigilant; regularly checking and refining plans as required. It’s an important lesson which we can carry into other areas of our lives. We may be looking to invest for the long term but that doesn’t mean that, once made, we can afford to ignore our investments. Regular checks can help us to ensure that our plans are more likely to be on track to meet our future needs; especially if those regular reviews take account not only of changing global conditions but also of our own personal goals and circumstances.
